When was the last time YOU sat with all of YOU without rushing to cover, correct or criticize what YOU saw? When was the last time YOU sat with YOURself completely uncovered? Knocking does not guarantee a door will open. Kicking it does not guarantee it either. Sometimes all kicking does is leave YOU with bruises, a wounded spirit, and another excuse for why YOU are still standing outside a door that has shown no intention of welcoming YOU in. The Assignment Was Never to Prove Them Wrong
YOUR focus should be on improving, not proving YOUrself. Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped asking: Am I becoming better? And started asking: Do they finally see that I am good enough? That is where the exhaustion begins. Improving and proving can look almost identical from the outside. Both may require discipline, sacrifice, long nights, and courage.
